Basic Area of Social Services (ABSS)
The Basic Area of Social Services of Vila-seca It is made up of a team of professionals who provide individual, family and collective social care to people living in the municipality.
Its mission is to attend to and respond to social needs. of citizens, enhancing their quality of life and personal, family and social autonomy. However, these professionals work to prevent the risk of exclusion and strengthen the bonds of social cohesion of our community.
Social Services are essential to guarantee the well-being of all citizens and social cohesion in our territory. Personal autonomy, equal opportunities, individual and social promotion are the main objectives of this public service.
The Social Action Department of Vila-seca City Council works to respond to the needs of people living in the municipality, paying special attention to the most vulnerable groups.
What do we do at Social Services?
- Provide attention, support and monitoring to people who request it or are referred by other services or citizens.
- Study the situations of people and families.
- Assess, make a social diagnosis and develop an individual and/or family intervention plan.
- Inform, guide and advise people in relation to social resources and benefits, promoting strategies to promote and achieve change.
- Detect and prevent situations of risk and/or exclusion.
- Refer to specialized services those cases that require it.
- Processing of applications.
Collaboration and coordination with the municipality's association network and other services. - Networking and cross-functional work.
