The plenary session of the Vila-seca City Council held this evening at 19 p.m. approved the rectification of the material error existing in the economic classification of the income forecast of the general budget of the Vila-seca City Council for the 2026 financial year.
The municipal plenary, after a vote carried out by individual vote deposited in a ballot box by the councilors of the Corporation (minus the councilors of Vila-seca en Comú), has also approved the appointment of the new Justice of the Peace and the substitute for the four-year period 2026-2030. Specifically, the people appointed are the residents of Vila-seca, Josep M. Pujals Vallvé as the Justice of the Peace and Fernando José Martínez Sánchez as the substitute. Both are re-elected in office.
On the other hand, the Vila-seca City Council plenary session debated four motions presented by municipal groups. One of the motions was approved and the other three were rejected.
Motion approved
- Motion presented by the municipal group of Vila-seca en Comú for the improvement of interurban public transport and mobility in Vila-seca. It was approved after receiving 16 votes in favor from the councilors of the municipal groups of Vila-seca Segura (VS), Vila-seca en Comú (VSC) and Decidim Vila-seca (DV), 3 abstentions from the councilors of the Partit dels Socialistes de Catalunya (PSC) and 2 votes against from the councilors of VOX.
Motions not approved
- Motion presented by the VOX municipal group to establish a safe area for sport fishing on the beach of La Pineda. It received 5 votes in favor from the councilors of the VOX and PSC municipal groups, 2 abstentions from VSC and 14 negative votes from the councilors of VS and DV.
- Motion presented by the municipal group of Vila-seca en Comú for the withdrawal of the pilot plan of the Department of Education to deploy police officers in educational centers. It received 2 votes in favor from the councilors of the municipal group of Vila-seca en Comú, 5 votes against from the councilors of the PSC and VOX and 14 abstentions from the councilors of the municipal groups of Vila-seca Segura and Decidim Vila-seca.
- Motion presented by the municipal group of Vila-seca en Comú to promote a time use strategy in Vila-seca. It received 8 votes in favor from the councilors of the municipal groups of VSC, PSC, VOX and DV and 13 votes against from the councilors of the municipal group of VS.
