The plenary session of the Vila-seca City Council held last Friday at 19 pm approved the file 06/2026 of the modification of the municipal budget credit, as well as the initial approval of the modification of the staffing and the modification of the personnel catalog. The new file of the modification of the credit, with a value of 813.009 euros, is intended for the reinforcement in matters of mobility and public transport, the promotion in the cultural and sports field and above all, the reinforcement of technical and legal studies and the maintenance expenses of the public space.
This plenary session also initially approved the dissolution and subsequent liquidation of the Consortium for Improving the Competitiveness of Tourism and Leisure in the regions of Tarragona and ratified the modification of the statutes of the Consortium for Linguistic Normalization.
Regarding the matters of the municipal boards, the plenary session initially approved the third modification of the budget of the Municipal Music Board and the initial approval also of the creation of the ID50 position, as well as the initial modification of the staff of the Municipal Music Board.
On the other hand, the Vila-seca City Council plenary session debated three motions presented by municipal groups. Two of the motions were approved and the other was rejected.
Motions approved
- Motion presented by the municipal group of Vila-seca en Comú to improve connectivity with the CAP Llevant of Tarragona and strengthen local healthcare in Vila-seca. It was approved after receiving 18 votes in favor from the councilors of the municipal groups of Vila-seca Segura (VS), Partit dels Socialistes, Vila-seca en Comú (VSC) and Decidim Vila-seca (DV) and 2 abstentions from the councilors of VOX.
- Motion presented by the municipal group of the Socialist Party of Catalonia to promote the construction of a public municipal summer swimming pool in Vila-seca and the improvement of the current outdoor swimming pool. It was approved unanimously with the vote in favor of all the councilors in the plenary.
Motion not approved
- Motion presented by the VOX municipal group to promote first aid training and emergency response. It received 4 votes in favor from the councilors of the VOX and VSC municipal groups, 3 abstentions from the PSC municipal group and 13 votes against from the VS and DV municipal group.
