This August, the new smart towers installed along the La Pineda promenade went into operation.
At a cost of 85.000 euros, the Vila-seca City Council acquired and installed these 7 intelligent columns or towers a few months ago that have incorporated various technological services. Specifically, each column has a 360-degree video surveillance camera and a speaker system to transmit information to beach users and, in addition, they are enabled to incorporate other sensory elements.
Coordinated from the central post of the rescue and first aid service on La Pineda beach, various messages and service information are issued throughout the day, as well as recommendations on the state of the sea.
