The Vila-seca City Council has launched the VilaCard Citizen Card in digital format, an initiative that represents a step forward in the modernization of municipal services and the improvement of the citizen experience. This new tool will facilitate access to various municipal services and advantages in a more convenient, secure and sustainable way.
The digital card maintains all the functionalities of the physical card, with the advantage of being available directly on the mobile device. The application incorporates a unique QR code linked to the citizen profile, which allows, among other uses, free access to the Vila-seca urban bus service, as well as identification for other municipal services.
Upon accessing it, users will find a simple and intuitive interface, with a digital replica of the physical card and direct access to QR codes for urban transport validation and citizen identification.
To use the urban bus service with the new digital card, you must carry out a single initial activation process for the free transport ticket, which will only have to be done once.
It should be remembered that in 2022 the Vila-seca City Council launched the Citizen Card with the aim of facilitating access to municipal services and that to date more than 16.000 cards have been activated.
