In recent weeks, the network of collaborating establishments has been expanded so that students of Catalan courses and language pairs can practice conversation. Specifically, in Vila-seca, 12 businesses have joined the network (Farmàcia Magriñà, Farmàcia Tuset, Tintoreria Victòria, Retalls de la Fina, Entre Costures, Cafeteria Oh! Que Bo!, Cafeteria Espréssaté, Cafeteria Els petits, Santiveri, Trilogia Floral, Estanc 1 and El Magatzem), joining the rest of the already existing establishments.
Throughout Catalonia there are more than 5000, including shops, bars, restaurants, etc. that are committed to helping language couples and learners of Catalan practice Catalan. Some of these establishments and companies offer discounts with the VxL card which can be consulted in Advantages of being a VxL.
Taking advantage of this network, students from Vila-seca will be able to practice speaking in Catalan by asking the price and characteristics of a product or requesting information about the establishment.
It is an activity that initially earns them respect, but which they unanimously appreciate later because it positively influences their self-esteem and ability to face real everyday communication situations in Catalan.
