The Vila-seca City Council honored this afternoon the teachers and professors from different educational centers in the municipality who retired during the 2025-2026 academic year.
The mayor of Vila-seca, Pere Segura, and the councilor for Culture, Leisure and Knowledge, Manuela Moya, presided over the event, which was also attended by a large number of colleagues of the teachers who have retired.
In the words of the mayor, Pere Segura: “educating is not just transmitting knowledge, educating is accompanying, fostering judgment, confidence, curiosity and responsibility.” And this is what we wanted to celebrate today.
The event served to pay tribute to Marina Jiménez Mesas, teacher at the Callipolis School; Jordi Sintes Subre, teacher at Escola La Plana; Jaume Baiges Guasch, professor at the Ramon Barbat Miracle Institute and Inés Muñoz Suescun, professor at the Ramon Barbat Miracle Institute.
