TAC 12 is the public television of Camp de Tarragona and its main objective is to cover the information and audiovisual needs of the regions of Tarragonès, Alt Camp and Conca de Barberà. The project was born on September 14, 2009 from the new frequency planning that contemplated the National Technical Plan for Local Digital Television of 2004. Initially, and as foreseen by this same plan drawn up by the Central Government, this project was initiated through the Consortium for the Management of DTT of Camp de Tarragona, the town councils of Tarragona, Salou, Vila-seca, Valls, Torredembarra, Montblanc.  i Constanti. Later, in 2012, the City Council ofAltafulla and in 2018 the City Council also joined The Francolí Plug.

This project is now a reference in the territory but also in the world of local Catalan television. Its programming is 100% public service, always giving priority to the informative content of these three regions of the Camp de Tarragona. In addition to strictly informative programs, its schedule also highlights its commitment to sports and cultural content. Tac 12 dedicates large spaces to popular culture, especially to the world of castells. Its specialized spaces and its broadcasts are followed by thousands of people throughout Catalonia.
